An aging woman, Evelyn has seen better days. She has long grey hair, steel blue eyes and a deeply winkled face. She’s stooped over from arthritis day needs a cane to get around. Evelyn is an elder of Shady Sands and has been its mayor for as long as anyone can remember. Her health is deteriorating and already there is worried talk about who will replace her. Evelyn is a very knowledgeable type and it’s rumoured that she has the largest surviving collection of texts from before the Fall. Evelyn and Isaac have much in common and share a strong friendship. They’re both true survivors of the Fall, both are leaders in the community, both love literature and chatting away into the early hours about this or that story of The Time Before. It is their friendship that has allowed both towns to survive as long as they have and gather more and more folk behind the relative safety of their walls.
